Download Valdium Operator from valdium.xyz/downloads:

• macOS — Valdium-Operator-v1.10.0.dmg (Apple Silicon + Intel)
• Windows — Valdium-Operator-v1.10.0-Setup.exe
• Linux — Valdium-Operator-v1.10.0.AppImage

Installation

macOS: Open the .dmg, drag Valdium Operator to Applications. On first launch, right-click → Open if macOS shows a security warning.

Windows: Run the .exe installer. Windows Defender SmartScreen may warn — click "More info" → "Run anyway". The app is unsigned pending notarization.

Linux: Make the AppImage executable and run it:

First launch checklist

1. Create your wallet (password min 8 chars)
2. Write down your recovery phrase — the app shows it once
3. Wait for the blockchain to sync (~2–10 minutes, ~50 MB)
4. Request test VLD from the faucet tab
5. Click "Stake 1,000 VLD & Start Validating"
6. Watch your node go Active ✓

What the app includes

Valdium Operator bundles the full Valdium node binary as a child process — the same software as the CLI validators. You're not connecting to someone else's node. Your machine is producing blocks, voting in consensus, and earning rewards — with a nice UI on top.
